Dreams Come True

For Varielle, a perfect day meant getting up close with some incredible animals, and thanks to some wonderful people, that dream became a reality!

Varielle and her family were treated to an unforgettable VIP experience at the Toronto Zoo, including a private golf cart tour that allowed her to comfortably explore the zoo and enjoy some very special behind-the-scenes moments.

She watched a Bengal/Amur tiger being fed, learned about the care that goes into looking after the animals, visited the bears, and met Tom the white rhinoceros up close – a gentle, sweet and truly “larger than life” highlight of the day!

To make Varielle’s day even more special from beginning to end, Oneday Dreams covered limousine transportation for the family with Canadian Limos so that Varielle and her family could travel in style 🙂

But the best part? Seeing the smiles and joy Varielle experienced throughout the day. These were moments her family said were truly priceless.

Her mom, Lynn, shared:

A huge thank you to the Toronto Zoo for generously donating the exclusive three-hour VIP tour, including behind-the-scenes experiences and two special animal encounters, and to Lexus, their incredible tour guide, for making the day so memorable.

For Jeff, this dream was about something bigger than a vacation. He wanted one more opportunity to get away with the people he loves most and create memories his family could hold onto forever. 

Jeff and his family travelled all the way from Regina, Saskatchewan, to Niagara Falls for a final family vacation together. Oneday Dreams covered the cost of flights to Ontario, where Jeff, his wife, their two sons and one of their girlfriends spent their time taking in everything Niagara Falls has to offer. They visited the Butterfly Conservatory, explored local attractions and, most importantly, simply got to enjoy being together as a family.

And thanks to an incredibly generous donation from Fallsview Casino Resort, the family stayed in two complimentary hotel rooms overlooking the Falls – a view that became one of Jeff’s favourite memories of the entire dream!

After returning home, Jeff shared:

“What I will remember the most is seeing the view from our room overlooking the falls. It was a spectacular view. I enjoyed opening the curtains each morning and seeing the falls. Having this dream filled my heart knowing that I got to take this trip with my wife and children. Watching their faces enjoy the sites and spending time together. Thank you again so much for making it all happen. My family and I are so appreciative.”

For years, Bev had looked at photographs of Newfoundland’s magnificent icebergs and watched videos of them towering above the water. She often wondered what it would be like to actually stand before one in person. This summer, she finally got to find out!

With an incredible outpouring of support from her local community, friends and family, Bev and her loved ones made their way to Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador, where an already special trip also gave them the opportunity to celebrate a milestone birthday together.

And then came the moment Bev had dreamed about for years.

Oneday Dreams arranged a private boat tour with Quest Ocean Tours Inc., taking Bev and her family out on the water to experience Newfoundland’s breathtaking icebergs up close. After years of seeing them only in pictures and videos, Bev was finally there, surrounded by the people she loves most.

We also wanted to make sure the family had something to hold onto from this incredible time together. During their trip, Oneday Dreams arranged a family photography session with Outport Events & Services Ltd., capturing memories from Bev’s dream that her loved ones can cherish for years to come. 

This dream became about so much more than seeing an iceberg. It was a milestone birthday, an adventure, and precious time spent together as a family, all centred around a moment Bev once never imagined would actually happen.

Dylan and his wife, Sophi, never got to have a honeymoon. So when Dylan had the opportunity to choose his dream, he knew exactly what he wanted: a trip together to a place he had always dreamed of seeing – Vancouver.

Oneday Dreams flew Dylan and Sophi to the West Coast and took care of all the major details of their trip so they were free to simply enjoy their time exploring, making memories and finally having the honeymoon they never had. And they made the most of every minute!

They explored the shops on Granville Island, rode e-bikes through Stanley Park, visited the Vancouver Aquarium and filled their days with new experiences. The trip also gave Dylan the chance to spend time with his best friend, who travelled from Seattle to meet them, and to finally meet Sophi’s grandparents in person.

There was even a pretty incredible surprise waiting when they arrived at their hotel: “We got surprised by the hotel staff notifying us that we had been upgraded to the penthouse suite for free! It was surreal to walk into our hotel room and see stairs… In a hotel room.. That’s crazy.”

Dylan and Sophi saved pieces of their adventure along the way, creating a scrapbook memory board filled with Polaroids, plane tickets, maps, stickers, receipts and souvenirs from the places they visited.

When we asked Dylan what having this dream fulfilled meant to him, he shared:

“It honestly meant the world to me…Sophi kept on saying we need to find something to look forward to just to try to help us stay positive, and you provided us with that. It was the most amazing first anniversary/honeymoon we could have asked for. Thank you, so much.”

And while Dylan says he’ll remember the whole trip, there’s one thing Vancouver probably wishes he’d forget: apparently, the traffic is miserable 😂

Reid and his wife, Lyndsey, were married in August 2024, but due to Reid’s health, they were unable to take their planned honeymoon. Reid dreamed of a romantic getaway, and together, we helped make that dream a reality.

Their experience began with transportation from Driven With Care, bringing them from home to Hotel Saskatchewan, where they stayed in the beautiful Royal Suite. From a luxurious space with downtown views to thoughtful amenities and a special breakfast, every detail was designed to make their time together unforgettable.

During their stay, they were also treated to a night out at the Brandt Centre, where they enjoyed a Regina Pats game, complete with food vouchers, personalized jerseys, and a special welcome on the video board alongside K9, the team’s mascot.

After the dream experience, Reid shared that his “favourite moment overall was just being able to get away” and that it was more than he could have ever expected. Reid told us that it meant the world to him and Lydnsey to have a honeymoon and forget everything even for a couple of days.

Wanda’s dream was to visit her grandson in Victoria, British Columbia. She and her grandson share a deeply close and loving bond, so this trip was extra meaningful for Wanda. Wanda, her daughter, and her grandson spent several days immersed in quality time, creating cherished moments filled with laughter and connection. From peaceful walks and shared meals, to heartfelt conversations and simple everyday moments, the trip was a beautiful reminder of what it means to be family. The trip left Wanda feeling uplifted and grateful, and she shared with us that the time spent with her grandson is something she and her family will always treasure.

Caleb’s dream was to travel to Toronto, with his Mom Sharon, sister Ruth, brother-in-law Jocel and his longtime and primary nurse Tony, to see a Golden State Warrior game with his favourite player, Steph Curry.

Caleb is a mega fan and watched games religiously, and even had playoff superstitions! He’s always wanted to go to a game and meet Steph Curry.

Oneday was able to send everyone to the game in Toronto with great seats! Special thanks to Caleb’s nurse Tony for connecting with Golden State Warriors to arrange the court side meet up with Steph. They even gave Caleb a custom jersey!

Caleb’s sister Ruth said; “Thank you Oneday Dreams for all that you and everyone did to get us here. We are so extremely grateful and filled with joy.”

Kevin’s dream was to give his family an unforgettable Christmas, a meaningful moment to share with his wife Andra, their sons Ryder and Jaxon, and their loved ones. To celebrate both Christmas and Kevin’s 60th birthday, the family gathered for a special dinner at the Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant, where Kevin arrived in style thanks to a limo ride provided by AM PM Limo Calgary. In a private dining space, restaurant manager Felix and his incredible team went above and beyond, creating a beautiful evening filled with love, laughter, and connection.

The night became even more magical when close family friends Tamera and Tim surprised everyone by arriving as Mr. and Mrs. Claus, delivering thoughtful gifts and holiday cheer. One of the most emotional moments came when Kevin signed two Toronto Blue Jays baseballs with personalized messages for Ryder and Jaxon, creating keepsakes his sons will treasure forever.

After the dream, Kevin shared with us that “the whole experience was awesome. It was wonderful to be able to have this experience to make more special memories together as a family. Incredibly heart warming for me.”

We were honoured to help make this evening possible, with the support of generous partners, neighbours, and community members who came together to give Kevin and his family a Christmas they will always hold close.

Debra’s children and family have been her pillars of support in life. Sharing memories, laughing, and having meals together. Throughout her illness journey, hospital visits, bedside visits, and recovery at home, they have been supporting her every step of the way.

Debra’s dream was to have professional family portraits taken to capture the personal moments, laughter, and joy they experience when they are together. Debra’s dream took place at her home. The photographer’s time and photos were generously donated by Alesha Allen. 

A special catered family dinner was also Debra’s wish to end the day. Special thanks to Adelina Catering for donating the entire meal, and for going above and beyond the food variety and portions. Debra was able to try some dishes despite her intake challenges; “the cheesecake was amazing”. 

Jennifer ‘s dream was for a “Citizens Trip” to Newfoundland and stay at an Airbnb, celebrating her husband and stepdaughter’s having recently acquired their Canadian citizenship.

They got screeched in, took the sights of the harbour and had a wonderful dinner and stay.
